To book a package at Il Sasso it is really simple, either call us, drop us an email or fill in this contact form and we can confirm your booking, take payment and get your plans underway. We do accept paypal or bank transfer as well as hard cash and cheques.

What do I get after booking?

Once you have booked a package, we will send out a confirmation letter and nearer the time of your departure we will send you an e-guide on the area to get you ready and fill you in on all you need to know!  Please do keep in touch and ask any questions needed in the lead up to your trip.

Am I insured?

We do not provide travel insurance, it is up to you to arrange your own.

il Sasso highly recommends travel insurance for medical emergency, lost baggage, or if you need to cancel your trip. In addition, if you are a EU National, you are eligible to hold an EHIC card for reciprocal health care provision within the EU. Online application is available from www.ehic.org.uk.

How do we get to Casa Liozzi?

You can hire a car from the airport and for use during your week or we can pick you up from Ancona airport for €60, which is to cover costs for fuel and motorway tolls for the return journey.  Ancona is around a 1hr15 drive from Casa Liozzi.

Passport, check. Anything else?

You need a valid Passport to gain entry to Italy. The easiest way to make sure there will be no problems, check your local Italian embassy for information on their visa requirements. The European Health Insurance Card EHIC will give you health benefits during your stay with us. Available from www.ehic.org.uk.  There is a doctor’s surgery in Penna SG and a local hospital.

Bikes?

Most people prefer to bring their own bikes but  sometimes it is easier to hire one! We have a few bikes at Casa Liozzi  so please ask when booking if we have your size and we can have it ready for you.

How many of us will there be?

The largest group size is between 4 and 6. This ensures each guest receives enough personal support and dedicated attention, during our rides we may hook up with local guys to, so brush up on your Italian.

I’m on my own, will I have my own room?

Our prices are per person per room and our rooms all have twin beds, so you will be sharing with another rider. Single occupancy is possible but would be available at further cost, £20 a night.

Are we just left on our rides if we cannot keep up?

We are very passionate and knowledgeable about cycling and the local area. Each ride is led by an experienced guide and supported by one of our riders with extra support when needed. We are British Cycling coaches and all have many years coaching and racing experience.  No one will be dropped from the group, we all muck in if there are mechanicals and extra help is only a call away!

How fit do I need to be?

We offer all levels of riding here at Il Sasso and we keep all groups on the same level or as near as we possibly can. It is hilly in and around Penna San Giovanni so there is a lot of climbing, but mostly rolling and plenty of flat if needed too. Don’t worry, we want you to enjoy it but please call or email for further info and to put your mind at rest.
